This may apply where a police officer has instituted a legal process short of prosecution without reasonable and probable cause and with malice (applications for arrest and search warrants). If not all elements of the action can be proven, there may still be a claim in negligence if the warrant was obtained on the basis of inaccurate information.   You can claim for damage to goods, physical injury, psychiatric injury and financial loss.
